Snook

Snook fishing starts today.

I plan on doing a lot more snook fishing in Port Canaveral this year. The numbers of fish are definatly there but the Port Canaveral locks hamper tides like other more well known snook fishing spots such as Sebastian Inlet and Fort Pierce Inlet. If you learn the snook patterns of Port Canaveral you can have some very succesful trips.

IF you go snook fishing this year and plan on harvesting them please remember you must pinch their tails. Check new measuring laws and limits before you go.

Fish

Posted by reeljobfishing on September 1, 2008

Anytime I do not have a fishing charter I try to fish, its good for me to always know what’s going on. My favorite fishing partner when i’m not guiding is my step son Drake. He has become quite the angler. I’m very good fishing with kids so please do not hesitate to bring them on your trip. Nothing makes me happier then showing a family a great day on the water. I’m using Drake’s catches to illustrate the types of fish I chase.

Booking a Charter

Posted by reeljobfishing on August 30, 2008

When you book a charter with me, You can expect that I have done my homework to ensure that you have a safe, fun, and successful day on the water, and that I have put forth all my effort in finding our target species. You will learn important details about fishing that will stay with you long after you return home. You should know that my vessel is always properly maintained and clean, and that all of my tackle and other equipment is in top working order.

All rods, reels, and licenses are provided. If you should decide to bring your own rod, please let me know before the day of the charter. Live bait is also included. You should bring a hat, polarized sunglasses, and whatever you want to eat and drink. I strongly recommend you bring plenty of water or sports drinks. A large cooler with ice will be on the boat.

Even in the winter it can get hot when the boat is not moving, so I suggest dressing in light layers. Rain gear is also recommended even if rain is not expected because if those winter winds kick up you will likely get splashed, ( I don’t care what the manufacturer says about a “dry ride”). Don’t forget your camera, most of the trophy size species that you catch inshore must be released. http://www.reeljobsportfishing.com/
